However, the number of countries that can be visited without an advance visa has decreased. Bangladeshi passport holders can travel to 39 countries without a visa. In 2024, where Bangladeshi passport holders could travel to 42 countries without a visa, this year it has reduced to 39. Among South Asian countries, Maldives has the strongest passport followed by Singaporean passport.
Singapore citizens can travel to 193 countries without a visa. Holders of passports from Japan and South Korea in the second position can visit 190 countries without advance visa.
According to the organization's website, this index of strong passports has been created based on how many countries can be visited with the passport of a country without advance visa or with visa-free facilities.
The 39 countries that Bangladeshis can visit without a visa are - Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bahamas, Barbados, Bolivia, British Virgin Islands, Burundi, Cambodia, Cape Verde Islands, Comoros Islands, Cook Islands, Djibouti, Dominica, Fiji, Grenada, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Madagascar, Micronesia, Montserrat, Mozambique, Niue, Rwanda, Samoa, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Gambia, Timor-Leste, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
